Throughout SHRM-Montgomery’s website, there are forms for visitors to request information and membership. These forms may ask for contact information (such as your phone number or e-mail address), unique identifiers (passwords and/or your SHRM (national) membership number, if one is available), or demographic information (for example, your age, location, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP designation, etc.). Contact information from these forms is used to provide the services and/or membership that you request. Unique identifiers are collected from website visitors to verify the user’s identity for access to restricted content or features on the site.
SHRM-Montgomery collects and maintains member information as part of serving our membership. We restrict access of non-public personal information about members to SHRM (national), the SHRM-Montgomery chapter Board and Committee members with a business reason to know this information. The SHRM-Montgomery roster is made available to SHRM-Montgomery members.
SHRM-Montgomery may share mailing lists (names and mailing addresses) of our members to select human resources affiliates and service providers as authorized in advance by the Board of Directors. The chapter does not share member e-mail addresses to third parties.
SHRM-Montgomery may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide information on individual members to the appropriate governmental authorities. In matters involving danger to personal or public safety, the chapter may voluntarily provide information to appropriate governmental authorities.
