QUALIFICATIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications for membership in order to be considered:
(a) Certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute and/or SHRM;
(b) Current or former practitioners of human resource management;
(c) Faculty members holding an assistant, associate or full professor rank in human resource management or any of its specialized functions at an accredited college or university;
(d) Full-time consultants practicing in the field of human resource management; and/or;
(e) Full-time attorneys counseling and advising clients on matters relating to the human resource profession;
(f) Holds a degree in HRM.
(g) Students who are enrolled either as full-time or part-time student. Student members may not vote or hold office in the Chapter.
A member must also fulfill the financial requirements of the Chapter. Membership in the chapter is held in the individual’s name, not an organization with which the member is affiliated. To find out about membership dues, click here.
Membership in the chapter is available to all eligible applicants without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or other status protected by law. All applications shall be reviewed by the Vice President of Membership and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval at the next scheduled Board meeting. Approved applicants will be notified approximately one week after the Board meeting which is normally held the first Thursday every other month.
